Desert Sunrises – Monsoon Style

The last few weeks in the desert has made for some awesome sunrises.  I spent a nice early morning hike this past weekend and blown away.

I also managed to unintentionally take another photo that I almost hesitate to share, just not sure why….

This isn’t a sunrise, but it was one of the most unique Monsoon cells I’d ever seen.

And a nice double three-legged rainbow.

  1. Just found your blog, and I think it’s pretty awesome. Looking forward to learn more about Arizona and it’s wonders. I’ve done route 66, and seen Grand Canyon, which was amazing, but I really want to do more exploring in your beautiful state. More than once I’ve thought about moving there, and I wouldn’t be surprised if I ended up in Arizona one day. The hiking opportunities is one major point of attraction.

    1. Thank you for the compliment. There is always another place I haven’t seen yet. Even when I hike the same “local” trails, it often feels different. It’s amazing how much is within a few hour drive. Arizona has a lot to offer.
